THE SACRAMENT OF PENANCE (RECONCILIATION | CONFESSION)

Those who approach the Sacrament of Penance obtain pardon from God’s mercy for the offense committed against him, and are, at the same time, reconciled with the Church which they have wounded by their sins and which by charity, by example, and by prayer labors for their conversion. (Can 1422).

2024 The Sacrament of Penance (Reconciliation | Confession)
Enrolments Open: Friday 20 September (Collect application from Parish Office Porch)
Enrolments Close: Friday 18 October (Return application to Parish Office. Late application may not be accepted)   
Year 2 Family Mass: Sunday 20 October at 9:00am followed by morning tea in the Parish gardens 
Parent Information Evening: Thursday 24 October at 7:00pm St Mark’s Church (Parents only)     
Candidate Preparation Sessions: 4 week program
Sacrament 1st Rite: Tuesday 26 or Thursday 28 November 2024

We look forward to welcoming you to our Parish Sacramental program and assisting you and your child in taking this next step in their faith development. The Sacrament is celebrated with children in Year 2 or above who have been baptised or received into the Catholic Faith.
At St Mark’s Parish it is the practice of our Church that children be prepared for this Sacrament before receiving their First Eucharist.
