This Sacrament is the first sacrament of Christian initiation.

Confirmation and Eucharist complete and celebrate the three initiation sacraments.

Baptisms are celebrated for infants on the first and third Sundays of the month.

Preparation consists of a home visit by a member of the Parish Team to both parents prior to the celebration.

The emphasis is on joining the vibrant faith community of St Mark’s.

RCIA

Unbaptised adults wishing to join the Catholic Church are welcome to undertake the faith journey known as the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)

Baptisms for adults are usually celebrated at the Easter Vigil Mass.

Baptised Christians from other faith traditions are welcome to join the Catholic Community through the RCIA.  They are received into the faith community at Easter through Confirmation.
