Parish Pastoral Council

The St Mark's Parish Pastoral Council (PPC) is a group of parishioners, along with the Parish Priest, Assistant Priest, Pastoral Associate and School Principal, who help to guide the direction of our parish community.

Importantly, the Council provides a forum for liaison with the school and the individual
ministries and assists where it can.

The Council also undertakes specific projects.  Recent projects include:

  • launching a five-year Parish Strategic Plan for community consultation;
  • remodelling the parish website;
  • organising regular morning teas;
  • processes for welcoming new parishioners; and
  • helping to update the parish’s audio visual capabilities.

The PPC meets once a month from March to December.  In addition, there is a one-day Planning Retreat in February.  Councillors typically serve a four-year term.
